William's 2nd Birthday

William had his 2nd birthday party last night and we had lots of fun! The theme of the party was construction trucks. We decorated hard hats with stickers, and the kids hit a fire truck pinata filled with candy. We also handed each kid a roll of streamers and let them go at it! Will was exhausted by the end of the night, but we think he had lots of fun with his friends. Can't believe our baby boy is two!!

We had to let one of the dads hit the pinata to actually get it down. And even then, it only came down after we put multiple cuts in the sides!
Sweet Everett!

Such a fun gift - a Hawaiian drum. Will loves it!

Veggietales Jonah movie!
Will didn't really understand that he's supposed to blow out the candles, so his friends helped him out :)

The streamers turned out to be a big hit!

Matt and I blew up about 70 balloons and then used a needle and thread to connect them in a line. Then we hung them around the perimeter of the room. We liked the way it turned out, but it was a lot of work!
Here's our construction worker checking out his drill.
Naia liked tickling Anna and making her laugh.

I liked the way his cake turned out this year and it was super easy. It was a chocolate cake with cream cheese and oreo filling. I put left over Halloween candy down the side to look like it spilled out of the dump truck. Found the idea on Pinterest!
The cake started melting really quickly!

We let Will play with the balloons on the ground before we hung them.
Will helped me make his cake :)
