Visitor Updates

We've had lots of visitors lately, so I haven't been consistently updating our blog. Here are some shots of us with our guests :)

My roommate from PA school, Julia, just left last night. She was such a huge help with the kids, and we had a great time. Here is a shot she took of Anna with her phone. She had wedged herself in between the couch and end table.
We went to Lydgate Beach Park, which is usually a hot spot for kiddos, but we couldn't get in the water because the storms last week brought in tons of debris. Almost no one else was on the beach. The lifeguard said that the rivers brought tons of limbs down from the mountains. Over the past two weeks, we've had so much rain. The locals say they haven't seen anything like this since 2005. I feel so bad for vacationers who haven't been able to get out and see the island. There have been a lot of road closures and most people are just staying home unless they have to get out.

We went to a festival on the south side of the island in Waimea. This is me jumping in the harness. It was really fun! Will wasn't sure what to think of his silly mommy.

We also saw, "Auntie Penny", who takes care of Will in the church nursery. She bought him the giant inflatable bat.

Holly's husband, Ryan, went on a deep sea fishing trip and caught our dinner! Matt cooked it up to perfection in the back yard as the rain came down.

Matt's cousin, Katherine, and her husband Casey came in February. She is a hair stylist and gave Matt a free cut!
