Oklahoma Visit

Uncle Michael stopped by for a visit to see Will!! We were all really happy to see him!!!

We got to visit some of Matt's friends from medical school. This is at Lenny and Paige Henderson's house. I LOVE visiting with Paige! Our time always goes by way too fast!! They have three boys, ages 10, 8 and 3. We love hearing stories of things their boys are doing. Lenny told us the two oldest boys got into an argument and the oldest, Ethan, quoted scripture to his little brother! It's amazing how much little ones can learn, and exciting to see them applying what they've learned, too!
We got to visit Great-Grandmother and Great-Grandfather Townsend in OKC! We had a great time visiting with them and got to watch the Kentucky Derby, an annual tradition at the Townsend home. Aunt Robin, Uncle Robert, Courtney, Scarlett, Katherine and Casey came over to see William too. Will is modeling a cute button-down shirt from Grandma Tracy.

I LOVE this picture of Grandma Tracy with Great-Grandmother Townsend. This one is definitely going to be a framer!!

William had an accident, so Grandma Tracy gave him a bath.
Grandma Tracy had a party and invited lots of friends. This is Jerry Lee, who was born in December. The boys interlocked arms instantly when they saw each other! They were instant buddies.
Jerry Lee and his mommy, Anna. He was named after his daddy, which happens to be my daddy's name, too!!!
Grandma Tracy has beautiful Azaleas growing in the garden in her front yard.

Matt spent TWO DAYS organizing my dad's garage! He got rid of TONS of trash (everything on the floor below), and bought organizing tools to make the garage look great! Dad was so surprised and has not stopped talking about his amazing son-in-law!! Today they invited the neighbors over to see all that Matt had done.
This is a dry-erase board Matt hung with a To-do list. Number 4 on the To-do list is Go Fishing!!!
Matt bought an organizer for the fishing poles and hung it on the wall.
He cleaned everything off of the CRX, so Dad can start working on it. He also hung all of the tubing to the right on a rack he installed. Dad is excited now to get the CRX running again. It just needs a timing belt and he has already bought the parts he needs.
Notice the beautiful, cleared walkway.
Matt moved the lathe himself over to the side, so there would be an open walkway. Not sure how he did that all by himself - it's very heavy!!
He left the hood up on the CRX, so it's ready for Dad to fix it! He also hung a hook on the ceiling for the tubing to the air compressor.
He organized all of these things on the shelves, too. He installed the shelves below, as well. Oil, on the left, is organized by type. Antifreeze, on the right, is all on the same shelf. One of the things on the "to-do" list, is get rid of shelf items that are no longer needed.
William loves his Grandpa Jerry. He left work during his lunch break to meet us at McDonald's!

Grandma Mary got William a whole sack full of new clothes!! Here he is modeling one of the new outfits!!
Grandma Jane loved seeing William, too! She had surgery last week to have a shunt replaced in her head. She has Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, which is a condition where excess fluid builds up in the brain. The shunt redirects the fluid to her abdominal area. We are glad Grandma is home and doing much better. She celebrated her 82nd birthday on Sunday!!

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Jerry treated us to Logan's Roadhouse! It was really good!

Mom and I went to visit Dr. Hendrix and Dr. Cossman, who I worked for in Tulsa. After the visit, we went to Woodward Park for pictures. It was a beautiful day!!!!

We went out to dinner for Brandi's birthday. On the left is Mati, our friends Amy and Blake Westra's daughter. She was born in September.
Getting ready to go for a walk! I have a great new walking buddy, Joy, who I met in my women's bible study. She has a daughter named Emma, who was born in December.
We went to Castlewood State Park with Brandi and Tory and hiked some beautiful trails! Tory carried Will in the carrier the whole way. It was so beautiful out there. Too bad Matt had to work. We missed him!

The shirt says, "If you think I'm cute, you should see my grandpa." Grandma Mary got this for Will:)

  1. He is so smiley! I love that you can get that on camera. When Samuel was that age he would be all smiles until the light on the camera came on and then he got the deer in headlights look. We love new Will pictures. He is really changing a lot. Glad you had fun in OK!
