Thanksgiving Trip to Oklahoma

Our journey to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving is now over. While it was a lot of fun and we ate lots of delicious food, it was a little stressful and we are glad to get back home. We drove down Tuesday and what is normally a 6-hour trip took almost 8 hours! We did finally get our traveling routine down. We got in that night and ate dinner with the Garner's, took it easy and stayed up late talking.

Wednesday we got up and travelled down to Oklahoma City and Edmond to see relatives on the Garner's side. First we went to my Mom's (Tracy's) parent's (Don and Lois Townsend's) house. Also joining us was Aunt Pauline; my Grandpa Garner's youngest sister. We figured out she is actually Will's Great-Great Aunt. Since she doesn't have any grandchildren, we made her an honorary Great-Grandma for Will! After a delicious meal from Johnnie's (Theta with cheese, fries, onion rings and extra Johnnie's sauce) we went over to Robin and Robert's house to meet up with more family. Elizabeth and Justin stopped by, so did aunt Kelly. Katherine and Casey were already there with Scarlett, Robin and Robert. Great Grandma Lois stopped by for a while, as Papa Don was too tired to stop by. Courtney came by after work and got to hold Will for a little bit before we had to drive back to Tulsa. Everyone loved seeing William, and thought he was especially cute.

Thanksgiving day was fun. We slept in and drank coffee. Mom cooked up a great meal and we all ate a ton of food. After naps and more talking and hanging out we packed up and got ready to go over to the Burn's house. Matty was cooking pizzas for dinner and were really good. The next day Todd and Jen Colburn arrived with all of their kids. The girls went shopping and the guys stayed home and watched football. Later Ellen and Steve and Grandma Jane came over to visit. That night Kim, Jen and Mary went over to see Andrea and Casey's new house in Collinsville. Andrea and Angela (twins) and their mom Sherrie were there as well as all their kids. Angela gave Will a couple of cute new outfits, and Andrea offered a tv to Grandma Burns that they weren't using. Matt and I went over the next day to get the tv and set it up in the Burns living room. Sunday we got up and packed then met Grandma Tracy for brunch. Dad was starting to feel bad, so he couldn't make it. We made the trip back in only 6.5 hours, much better than the trip down.

We put the pictures online though our Picassa Web Albums. There is a link in the right hand column, or you can click Right Here. Also there is a slideshow of the pictures below, just click play.
